Jakub Bareš (born 20 March 1988) is a Czech curler from Prague Prague ( ; ) is the capital and List of cities and towns in the Czech Republic, largest city of the Czech Republic and the historical capital of Bohemia. As a junior curler, Bareš played in two World Junior Curling Championships. His first was the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships where he skipped the Czech team which also included Jiri Candra, Martin Hejhal and Martin Stepanek. The team did not win a single game at the event, finishing in last place. Bareš was invited to be the Czech team's alternate at the 2008 World Junior Curling Championships, skipped by Krystof Chaloupek. The qualification event for the curling tournament at the Curling at the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 Winter Olympics was held from December 10 to 15, 2013 at the BLZ Arena in Füssen, Germany. John Shuster
John “Shoostie” Shuster ( ; born November 3, 1982) is an American curler who lives in Superior, Wisconsin. He led Team USA to gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics, the first American team to ever win gold in curling. He also won a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He has played in five straight Winter Olympics (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022) and eleven World Curling Championships (2003, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024). The 2013 European Curling Championships were held from November 22 to 30 at the Sørmarka Arena in Stavanger, Norway. Norway last hosted the European Curling Championships in 1990. The 2013 World Men's Curling Championship (branded as the Ford World Men's Curling Championship 2013 for sponsorship reasons) was held from March 30 to April 7, 2013 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This marked the twenty-first time that Canada hosted the World Men's Championship, the fifth time that the province of British Columbia hosted the World Men's Championship, and the second time that Victoria hosted the World Men's Championship. The 2011 World Men's Curling Championship (branded as Ford World Men's Curling Championship 2011 presented by Richardson for sponsorship reasons) was held at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada from April 2–10, 2011. In the final, Jeff Stoughton skipped the Canadian rink to a 6–5 victory over Scotland's Tom Brewster, who was playing in his first World Championship. Scotland took the early lead, going up 3–1 after four ends, thanks to successful double and triple take outs. Stoughton picked out a Scottish stone in the four-foot in the fifth end to score three, and take a 4–3 lead into the break. After Scotland tied the game in the sixth, Canada blanked the seventh, with Stoughton showing off his 360 degree "spin-o-rama" delivery on his last, as it was only a throw-through. 2010 European Curling Championships
The 2010 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships were held in Champéry, Switzerland from December 3–11, 2010. The Group C matches took place from September 24–28 at the Greenacres Ice Rink in Howwood, Scotland. The winners of the Group C matches advanced to the Group B playoffs in Monthey. The Group A round robin matches took place from December 4–11 at the Palladium de Champéry in Champéry, while the Group B matches took place at the Verney Arena in Monthey.
