Jack O'Connell (born 1 August 1990) is an English actor. He first gained recognition for playing James Cook in the British television series '' Skins'' (2009–2010, 2013). Jack O'Connell (Australian Politician)
Geoffrey John O'Connell (16 June 1903 – 20 April 1972) was an Australian politician. He was born in Richmond, Victoria, Richmond to contractor John O'Connell and Annie McNamara. He was a tanner and publican before entering politics, and joined the Australian Labor Party (Victorian Branch), Labor Party around 1919. He was the cousin of Jack Cremean and Bert Cremean, both Labor politicians, and on 18 December 1926 married Lillian May Lester, with whom he had four children. He served on City of Richmond, Richmond City Council from 1948 to 1972, and was mayor from 1957 to 1958 and from 1964 to 1965. In 1958 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council for Melbourne Province. He served until his death in Richmond in 1972. O'Connell began his career at Blackburn Rovers and came to prominence after captaining Rochdale to promotion from League Two in the 2013–14 season. Jack O'Connell (December 25, 1959 – January 1, 2024) was an American author of noir crime fiction and speculative fiction novels. He lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, with his wife, Nancy, and two children. He was a student and taught at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. O'Connell died on January 1, 2024, at the age of 64. Career O'Connell stated that the post-industrial urban decay of Worcester was an influence on Quinsigamond, the fictional city where his novels are set.
