"I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration" is an anonymous essay published by ''The New York Times'' on September 5, 2018. The author was described as a senior Trump administration official. Miles Taylor (born 1986/1987) is an American government official who served in the administrations of George W. Bush and Donald Trump. In the administration of the latter, he was an appointee who served in the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from 2017 to 2019, including as chief of staff of the DHS. As the title is subjective, the reporter writing the article is allowed to decide if a source should be called one. Most reporters require the source to have "commissioned status".
