The Italy national football team () has represented Italy in men's international Association football, football since its first match in 1910. The national team is controlled by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), the governing body for football in Italy, which is a co-founder and member of UEFA. Italy's home matches are played at various stadiums throughout Italy, and its primary Training ground (association football), training ground and technical headquarters, Centro Tecnico Federale di Coverciano, is located in Florence. Savoy Blue
Savoy blue () or Savoy azure (), also known as Italian blue (), is a shade of saturated blue between peacock blue and periwinkle, lighter than peacock blue. Since the middle ages, it is the colour of the House of Savoy, the royal dynasty of the Kingdom of Italy from 1861 to 1946. Having become a National symbol of Italy with the Risorgimento (1859–70), its use continued even after the birth of the Italian Republic (1946) under the name ''Italian blue''. The 1936 Summer Olympics (), officially the Games of the XI Olympiad () and officially branded as Berlin 1936, were an international multi-sport event held from 1 to 16 August 1936 in Berlin, then capital of Nazi Germany. The competition was devised to minimise friendlies and give nations competitive encounters with equally ranked teams.
