Italian Parliament
The Italian Parliament () is the national parliament of the Italy, Italian Republic. It is the representative body of Italian citizens and is the successor to the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sardinia (1848–1861), the Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy (1861–1943), the transitional National Council (Italy), National Council (1945–1946) and the Constituent Assembly of Italy, Constituent Assembly (1946–1948). It is a Bicameralism, bicameral legislature with 600 elected members and a small number of unelected members (''senatori a vita''). Legislature XIX Of Italy
The Legislature XIX of Italian Republic () is the 19th and current Italian Parliament, which was elected at the 2022 Italian general election, 2022 general election on 25 September and convened on 12 October. As per the 2020 Italian constitutional referendum, the size of the Chamber of Deputies was reduced from 630 to 400, and the Senate's elective membership was reduced from 315 to 200 (for a total of 205 Senators, including appointed Senators for life in Italy, life members). The largest party in both chambers is Brothers of Italy, led by Prime Minister of Italy, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Us Moderates
Us Moderates (, NM) is a centrist political party in Italy, led by Maurizio Lupi. The party has had several associated members and regional partners. At the European level, it is a member of the European People's Party. Most of NM's members and elected officials are former members of Forza Italia. History Us Moderates was launched as an electoral joint list within the centre-right coalition in the 2022 Italian general election, which obtained 0.9% of the vote, seven deputies and two senators. Italian Left
Italian Left (, SI) is a left-wing political party in Italy. SI was launched in November 2015 as a parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies (full name: Italian Left – Left Ecology Freedom), including Left Ecology Freedom (SEL), dissidents from the Democratic Party like Future to the Left, and splinters from the Five Star Movement. At its launch, SI included 32 deputies, who were soon followed by eight senators (who formed a sub-group within the Mixed Group of the Senate in February 2016), and two MEPs. SI was officially formed as a full-fledged party in February 2017, after SEL had chosen to merge into it in December 2016. The party is led by Nicola Fratoianni. The Greens and Left Alliance (, AVS) is a left-wing political alliance active in Italy, which was launched on 2 July 2022 as a federation of two political parties, Italian Left (SI) and Green Europe (EV). Action (, abbr. A or Az) is a Liberalism, liberal political party in Italy, political party in Italy. Its founder and leader is Carlo Calenda. Originally launched as We Are Europeans (, SE), it adopted its current name in November 2019 upon becoming a fully-fledged party. Calenda has described his party as "anti-Populism, populist" and "anti-Sovereigntism, souverainist". Campobase () is a regionalist and centrist political party, in the Christian-democratic tradition, in Trentino, Italy. Its informal leader is Lorenzo Dellai, a former three-term president of Trentino (1999–2012).
