It's Over (Electric Light Orchestra Song)
"It's Over" is a song recorded by the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). It is the second track from the LP '' Out of the Blue''. It was the last single to be lifted from the album and was released exclusively in the United States, becoming a minor hit. The orchestral beginning was actually the end of "Mr. Blue Sky" reversed. In 2007, hip hop artist and producer will.i.am sampled parts of the song, and it formed the backbone of his opening track "Over" from the album ''Songs About Girls''. Reception ''Billboard'' said that "It's Over" has a "classical feel" as a result of the shifting moods generated by the song. ''Cash Box'' said that it begins "with simple chording which opens to a strumming beat" and that the "strings add panorama" and that "the vocals are characteristically crystalline and soaring." ''Record World'' called it "a classic ELO single keyed by Jeff Lynne's unique vocals and production techniques." Chart performance "The Whale" "The Whale" is an instrumental by ...

The Pretty Toney Album
''The Pretty Toney Album'' is the fourth studio album by American hip hop artist Ghostface. Originally scheduled for a February 2004 release (as found on the cover art for the ''Run'' CD single), the album was released on April 20, 2004, by Def Jam. It is the only album from the artist to be released solely under the moniker "Ghostface" ("Killah" is entirely omitted in any reference to his name on the packaging), and is the first of his albums not to feature any other members of the Wu-Tang Clan. The album cover is a photograph taken from his performance of the song "Summertime" with Beyoncé at Jay-Z's farewell concert at Madison Square Garden in November 2003. It is an interpolation of the cover of Doug E. Fresh's album The World's Greatest Entertainer. The oversized jewelry he is seen wearing in the photograph was given to him prior to his performance by rapper Slick Rick, as seen in the film "Fade to Black." Critical reception ''The Pretty Toney Album'' received critica ...

Steve Took's Horns
Steve Took's Horns was an English rock band with blues rock and punk influences formed in 1977 by former Tyrannosaurus Rex percussionist (and Pink Fairies founder) turned solo artist Steve Peregrin Took together with Trev Thoms, later of Nik Turner's Inner City Unit (although Took had been using the bandname since 1976). The band was the first in which Thoms worked with his future Inner City Unit bandmate Ermanno Ghisio Erba aka Dino Ferari, in what would be a long string of collaborations until Thoms' death in 2010. A 2004 posthumous album of the band was reviewed in ''Classic Rock'' magazine, a 1978 live performance was reviewed in ''Melody Maker'', the band's 1977 recording session was described at length in a ''Forced Exposure'' interview with eyewitness Larry Wallis and the band was euologised in a ''Record Collector'' article about Took written by Luke Haines. History Formation Since leaving Tyrannosaurus Rex in 1969, Took had formed his own band Shagrat with guitaris ...

90125
''90125'' is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 7 November 1983 by Atco Records. After Yes disbanded in 1981, following the ''Drama'' (1980) tour, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Alan White and Trevor Rabin (guitarist, singer, songwriter) formed Cinema, and began recording an album with original Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye, who had been fired in 1971. They adopted a more commercial and pop-oriented musical direction as the result of their new material, much of which derived from Rabin's demos. During the mixing stage, former Yes singer Jon Anderson, who had left in 1980, accepted an invitation to return and record the co-lead vocals, and subsequently Cinema became the new lineup of Yes. Named for its Atco catalogue number, ''90125'' was released to a generally positive reception and introduced the band to a new generation of fans. It reached No. 5 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 16 on the UK Albums Chart, and remains their bes ...

Mane Attraction
''Mane Attraction'' is the fourth studio album by the glam metal band White Lion. It was released in 1991 by Atlantic Records, and reached No. 61 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 31 in the UK. Overview After a year of writing and recording, White Lion released ''Mane Attraction'' in the spring of 1991, which was received well by the fans. Unfortunately, the album failed to reach the top 20 like the last two albums. It received little airplay due to the rising popularity of grunge. The album featured the singles " Love Don't Come Easy" which peaked at number 24 on the Mainstream Rock chart, "Lights and Thunder", an eight-minute heavy rock epic with a complex structure inspired by Led Zeppelin's " Achilles Last Stand" and a re-recorded version of the band's debut single "Broken Heart", all of which had music videos. The song "Out with the Boys" was released as a rare promo single. The album also contained White Lion's only instrumental song, "Blue Monday", a tribute to Stevie R ...

Smoke Oddessey
Smoke is an aerosol (a suspension of airborne particulates and gases) emitted when a material undergoes combustion or pyrolysis, together with the quantity of air that is entrained or otherwise mixed into the mass. It is commonly an unwanted by-product of fires (including stoves, candles, internal combustion engines, oil lamps, and fireplaces), but may also be used for pest control (fumigation), communication (smoke signals), defensive and offensive capabilities in the military (smoke screen), cooking, or smoking (tobacco, cannabis, etc.). It is used in rituals where incense, sage, or resin is burned to produce a smell for spiritual or magical purposes. It can also be a flavoring agent and preservative. Smoke inhalation is the primary cause of death in victims of indoor fires. The smoke kills by a combination of thermal damage, poisoning and pulmonary irritation caused by carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide and other combustion products. Smoke is an aerosol (or mist) of solid ...
