Isolated Atoms
Isolated Atoms were an English rock band from the Black Country, in the Midlands. The band played shows nationally and in the US and supported The Charlatans, Simple Minds, The Answer and Blackberry Smoke. Members The band consisted of Grant Leon Ashman (Vocals), Mark Neat (Guitar), David Davies (Bass Guitar) and Jake Yang Osei-Tutu (Drums) History During May and June 2011 Isolated Atoms visited Los Angeles where they performed at the Whisky a Go Go on Sunset Strip and various other California music venues. July 2011 saw Isolated Atoms on the cover of US rock publication ''All Access''. where they were described as "the next British invasion". The band had regular praise in ''Classic Rock'', ''Kerrang!'', on BBC Music Introducing BBC Music ''Introducing'' is BBC Radio's platform supporting unsigned, undiscovered, and under-the-radar UK music talent. Black Country
The Black Country is an area of the West Midlands county, England covering most of the Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall. Dudley and Tipton are generally considered to be the centre. It became industrialised during its role as one of the birth places of the Industrial Revolution across the English Midlands with coal mines, coking, iron foundries, glass factories, brickworks and steel mills, producing a high level of air pollution. The name dates from the 1840s, and is believed to come from the soot that the heavy industries covered the area in, although the 30-foot-thick coal seam close to the surface is another possible origin. The Charlatans are an English rock band formed in West Midlands, England in 1988. The current line-up comprises lead vocalist Tim Burgess, guitarist Mark Collins, bassist Martin Blunt and keyboardist Tony Rogers. Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1977. The Answer (band)
The Answer are a Northern Irish hard rock band from Newcastle and Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland, UK. They have achieved success with their debut album '' Rise'' selling in excess of 30,000 copies in the UK and Europe, 10,000 on day one in Japan and 100,000 worldwide. Blackberry Smoke is an American rock band from Atlanta. The lineup consists of Charlie Starr (lead vocals, guitar), Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), and Brandon Still (keyboards). ''Classic Rock'' is a British magazine and website dedicated to rock music, owned and published by Future. It was launched in October 1998 and is based in London. Kerrang!
''Kerrang!'' is a British weekly magazine devoted to rock, punk and heavy metal music, currently published by Wasted Talent (the same company that owns electronic music publication '' Mixmag''). It was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the '' Sounds'' newspaper. Named after the onomatopoeic word that derives from the sound made when playing a power chord on a distorted electric guitar, ''Kerrang!'' was initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts. In the early 2000s, it became the best-selling British music weekly. History ''Kerrang!'' was founded in 1981.
