Irish History Students' Association
''IHSA'' () is an academic organisation which promotes the study of history in Ireland. The organisation was founded in 1950 by representatives from the main universities of Ireland in Dublin. The association organises an annual conference in Ireland on a rotating basis between the main third level institutions offering history courses and research facilities. Its current Reachtaire (Chair) is Dr Sarah-Anne Buckley. History The Inaugural Congress of the Irish Inter-Varsity History Students took place at Newman House, St Stephen's Green, Dublin, on 17 February 1950. Niall Delargy (University College Galway, now NUI Galway), F.X. Ireland

Robert Dudley Edwards
Robert Walter Dudley Edwards (4 June 1909 – 5 June 1988) was an Irish historian, one of the leaders of the 'scientific revolution' in Irish history, co-founder of the journal Irish Historical Studies and a lifelong campaigner for archives. He founded University College Dublin's Archives department and is the historian most associated with the campaign to create Ireland's National Archives in 1988. Maynooth University
Maynooth University (MU) (), is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland. Maynooth University was formerly known as National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM; ). Mary Immaculate College
Mary Immaculate College (''Coláiste Mhuire gan Smál''), also known as MIC and Mary I, is a College of Education and Liberal Arts. Connacht
Connacht or Connaught ( ; or ), is the smallest of the four provinces of Ireland, situated in the west of Ireland. Until the ninth century it consisted of several independent major Gaelic kingdoms (Uí Fiachrach, Uí Briúin, Uí Maine, Conmhaícne, and Delbhna). Galway
