Ireland–Philippines relations ( Irish caidreamh na hÉireann, na hOileáin Fhilipíneacha, ) are the bilateral relations between Ireland and the Philippines. Ireland has an embassy in Manila. The Philippines once had an embassy in Dublin. However, due to supposed financial and organisational burdens, it was forced to close in 2012. Currently, the Philippine embassy in Ireland are represented via London (United Kingdom), with an honorary consulate based in Dublin. Irish (Standard Irish: ), also known as Irish Gaelic or simply Gaelic ( ), is a Celtic language of the Indo-European language family. Phoenix Park
The Phoenix Park () is a large urban park in Dublin, Ireland, lying west of the city centre, north of the River Liffey. Its perimeter wall encloses of recreational space. It includes large areas of grassland and tree-lined avenues, and since the 17th century has been home to a herd of wild fallow deer. Mary Patricia McAleese ( ; ; ; born 27 June 1951) is an Irish activist lawyer, academic, author, and former politician who served as the president of Ireland from November 1997 to November 2011. McAleese was first elected as president in 1997, having received the nomination of Fianna Fáil.
