Invitation To Her's
''Invitation to Her's'' is the only studio album by English indie pop band Her's. It was released on 24 August 2018 through Heist or Hit Records, seven months before the duo were killed in a crash while touring the US. Critical reception ''Invitation to Her's'' received generally positive reviews from critics. Laviea Thomas of ''Gigwise'' said the album was "well-thought-out" and "atmospheric" and featured "some almost perfect glitch pop ballads". Nad Khan of ''The Line of Best Fit'' stated, "Each track is its own little microcosm of oddness, unfolding like a brightly colored cartoon storyboard", and "Ultimately, the album is a warm, fuzzy and familiar affair, succeeding in its primary mission to marry peculiar humour with genuinely catchy pop melodies." Her's
Her's (also written as thatbandofhers) was an indie rock band from Liverpool, England composed of English guitarist and singer Stephen Fitzpatrick and Norwegian bassist and backing vocalist Audun Laading. They released a compilation album, '' Songs of Her's'' (2017), followed by a full-length studio album, '' Invitation to Her's'' (2018). The duo and their tour manager were killed in a road traffic collision in Arizona while touring the United States in 2019. Post-punk
Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of music that emerged in late 1977 in the wake of punk rock. Post-punk musicians departed from punk's fundamental elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a broader, more experimental approach that encompassed a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences. Inspired by punk's energy and do it yourself ethic but determined to break from rock cliches, artists experimented with styles like funk, electronic music, jazz, and dance music; the music production, production techniques of dub music, dub and disco; and ideas from art and politics, including critical theory, modernist art, Film, cinema and modernist literature, literature. Metacritic is an American website that aggregates reviews of films, television shows, music albums, video games, and formerly books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999, and was acquired by Fandom, Inc. in 2022.
