Ritchies Transport
Ritchies Transport is a New Zealand private bus operator, owned by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, KKR. It was established in 1972 and describes itself as "the largest privately owned bus and coach transport operator in New Zealand" with a fleet of over 1500 vehicles spread across depots nationwide. It owns a 46% stake in InterCity (New Zealand), InterCity. History Richies Coachlines was founded in Temuka in 1937. John Richie ran the company from 1970. Still actively involved, he died in July 2010. In 2014 they invested $18m in a new West Auckland bus depot with 132 buses. On Christmas Eve 2016, a Richies coach crashed on route from Auckland to Guisbourne. Three passengers died and the driver and other passengers were injured. The resulting prosecution by Worksafe NZ resulted in Richies paying a $210,000 fine and $750,000 in reparation to the victims. Rotorua () is a city in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand's North Island. It is sited on the southern shores of Lake Rotorua, from which it takes its name. Fullers Bay Of Islands
Fullers GreatSights is a major tourism company based in Northland, New Zealand. Today it is Northland's largest marine tourism operator with a wide range of cruises and land tours. History In 1887, Albert Ernest Fuller launched the "Undine" sailing ship in the Bay of Islands to deliver coal supplies to the islands within the Bay. With the fitting of a motor in the early 1900s, Fuller was able to deliver the coal and essential supplies to communities as far out as Cape Brett. In 1927 Fuller acquired the "Cream Trip" from Eddie Lane – with the facilities on board to transport cream from the islands, and by the 1960s, the well known ‘Bay Belle’ started this run. Paihia is a town in the Bay of Islands in the Northland Region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is 60 kilometres north of Whangārei, located close to the historic towns of Russell, New Zealand, Russell and Kerikeri.
