Insomniac's Dream
''Insomniac's Dream'' is the first EP by American rock band Adema, and was released on November 5, 2002 after their self-titled debut album. Only the first three tracks are new, though "Shattered" was released on some international versions of ''Adema'' and "Nutshell" is a cover of an Alice in Chains song. "Immortal" was the theme song for '' Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance'', and is the only song to have had a music video. The band formed in 2000 with members vocalist Mark Chavez, guitarist Tim Fluckey, guitarist Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo, and drummer Kris Kohls. After their first two albums, '' Adema'', and ''Unstable'', the band was plagued with years of conflict and lineup changes. Ransom left the band in 2003 followed by Chavez later in 2004 due to conflicts between themselves and other members of the band. Luke Caraccioli replaced Chavez in early 2005 for one album, '' Planets'', but then left a few months later in late 2005. Vocalist Bobby Reeves and guitarist Ed Faris, both from the band Level, were recruited to join as well, but only released one album, '' Kill the Headlights'' in 2007, before entering a hiatus. Mike Inez
Michael Allen Inez (born May 14, 1966) is an American rock musician and bassist. Since 1993, Inez has been the bassist of the American rock band Alice in Chains. He is also recognized for his work with Ozzy Osbourne from 1989 to 1993. Inez also has connections with Slash's Snakepit, Black Label Society, Spys4Darwin, and Heart. Inez has earned seven Grammy Award nominations as a member of Alice in Chains. Career Mike Inez began his career in music by playing guitar and saxophone. David Clark DeRoo (born September 3, 1974) is an American rock musician, known primarily for his role as bassist of the rock band Adema. Early life Dave DeRoo was born in Bakersfield, California; his father, Doug DeRoo, was a well-known radio DJ. Many of his earliest performances were while he attended East Bakersfield High School where he was in the graduating class of 1992. Professional career Sexart In 1991 DeRoo was one of the members of Sexart. Sexart has since gained cult notoriety for its connection with Korn and featured Jonathan Davis of Korn on vocals. Sexart, sometimes written SexArt or Sex Art featured musicians that would go on to careers with the bands Orgy, Dead by Sunrise, L.A.P.D, Korn, Cradle of Thorns, Videodrone, and Adema. Giving In
"Giving In" is the first single from American rock band Adema's self-titled debut album. The song appeared on '' Now That's What I Call Music! 9'', as well as in a commercial for AT&T Cingular. It is one of the band's most popular and well known songs. Music video The music video for "Giving In" (directed by Paul Fedor) features Adema playing on what appears to be an outdoor rooftop under a dark sky, moving as if on a conveyor belt, while lead singer Mark Chavez moves through different rooms. The rooms and scenarios that are shown while the band are playing include a hotel room with a couple, a little girl sitting on a rocking chair watching a violent movie, and a woman in a glass tank. As the video progresses, certain changes take place. People who are apparently either invisible or are meant to be there stand around the bed watching the couple have sex. Sean Howard Kinney (born May 27, 1966) is an American musician, best known as the drummer and co-founder of the rock band Alice in Chains.
