IgroMir
IgroMir (, ''Gaming World'') was the first large-scale annual exhibition of computer and video games in Russia, organized in Moscow by the committee of the Russian Game Developers Conference from 2006 to 2019. The exhibition quickly grew to a four-day event (Thursday to Sunday), with the first day reserved for industry members, the press, and VIPs. It was held on the first weekend of November at VDNKh Exhibition Center for its first five years, then from 2011 moved to Crocus Expo and was held on the first weekend of October. From 2014 to 2018, Comic-Con Russia was held as part of IgroMir and attendance averaged 160,000 people, the capacity of the venue. Comic-Con Russia is a speculative fiction entertainment annual exhibition and fan convention of computer and video games, TV series and List of films based on comics, comic movies in Russia, organized by the committee of Russian Game Developers Conference and Bubble Comics. First convention was held alongside the 2014 IgroMir. From the beginning the showcasing primarily comic books and science fiction/fantasy related film, television, and similar popular arts, the convention includes a larger range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres, including horror, animation, anime, manga, toys, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels in the country. The Russian Game Developers' Conference (), or KRI (), was an annual event for industry professionals devoted to game development, publishing and distribution in Russia and surrounding territories. The show also featured the presentation of the annual KRI awards, a professional game awards. Attendance at ''KRI'' was relative compared with some of the better-known game developer conferences abroad. However, this was mainly attributed to the population densities in the enormous geographic range that the conference covered and the difficulties in transportation. Back then Russian distribution video game networks were often plagued by software pirates.
