Idaho Vandals Football
The Idaho Vandals are the college football team that represents the University of Idaho and plays its home games at the Kibbie Dome, an indoor facility on campus in Moscow, Idaho. Idaho is a member of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Vandals are coached by Thomas Ford. Thomas Ford (American Football)
Thomas Ford is an American college football coach, currently the head coach at the University of Idaho, a position he has held since December 2024. He was the head coach at Stadium High School in Tacoma, Washington, from 2014 to 2017 and Simon Fraser University from 2018 to 2019. He also coached for Linfield, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Puget Sound, Washington, and Oregon State. The Montana Grizzlies football (commonly referred to as the "Griz") program represents the University of Montana in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of college football. The Grizzlies have competed in the Big Sky Conference since 1963, where it is a founding member. They play their home games on campus in Missoula at Washington–Grizzly Stadium, where they had an average attendance of 26,978 in 2023. The Grizzlies had streak of 25 consecutive winning seasons from 1986 to 2011, and this included runs to the NCAA FCS (formerly Division I-AA) championship seven times. The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, previously the Humanitarian Bowl (1997–2003, 2007–2010) and the MPC Computers Bowl (2004–2006), is an NCAA-sanctioned post-season college football bowl game that has been played annually since 1997 at Albertsons Stadium on the campus of Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. 2019 Idaho Vandals Football Team
The 2019 Idaho Vandals football team represented the University of Idaho in the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Vandals played their home games on campus at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow, Idaho, and were members of the Big Sky Conference. They were led by seventh-year head coach Paul Petrino. The Battle of the Palouse refers to an athletic rivalry in the northwest United States, between the Vandals of the University of Idaho and Cougars of Washington State University.
