Idaho High School Activities Association
The Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) oversees high school athletics and activities in the state of Idaho. Idaho high schools are classified in six categories, based on enrollment, for league competition and state playoffs and championships. The IHSAA recognizes twenty specific sports and activities. Schools primarily compete within their own classification for regular season play, but are allowed to play other schools one classification above or below them in most sports. Capital High School (Boise, Idaho)
Capital High School is a three-year public secondary school in Boise, Idaho, United States. Opened in the fall of 1965, it was the third of four public high schools constructed in the Boise School District, and serves its northern portion. The other high schools are Boise (1902) in the east, Borah (1958) in the southwest, and Timberline (1998) in the southeast. The Capital High boundary includes sections of Eagle and Garden City. Athletics Capital competes in athletics in IHSAA Class 6A in the Southern Idaho Conference (6A) (SIC). The tennis team has won 16 state titles, including five consecutive from 1972 to 1976. Canyon Ridge High School
Canyon Ridge High School is a public secondary school in Twin Falls, Idaho, operated by the Twin Falls School District. It is the second traditional high school in the district and opened in August 2009. The school colors are crimson and silver and the mascot is a Riverhawk. As Twin Falls High School became increasingly overcrowded, funding for a second high school was approved by Twin Falls voters in March 2006. The school name and mascot were selected by the Twin Falls School Board in November 2006, and construction began in July 2007. Canyon Ridge draws its students from the western half of the city and is located on North College Road in northwestern Twin Falls. Timberline High School is a three-year public secondary school in Boise, Idaho. Opened in August 1998, it is the fourth and newest traditional high school in the Boise School District, serving its southeast portion. Originally opened as Les Bois Junior High in 1994, it was expanded and the junior high was rebuilt at a different location. Rocky Mountain High School is a four-year public secondary school in Meridian, Idaho, west of Boise. Opened in the fall of 2008, it is the fifth major high school in the West Ada School District.
