ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open
The ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open is a women's professional golf tournament in Scotland on the Ladies European Tour (LET). First played in 1986, it became a regular fixture on the tour schedule in 2010. Since 2017 it has been co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and played in late July, the week prior to the Women's British Open. A 54-hole event from 2007 through 2016, it returned to a 72-hole event. Esther Henseleit
Esther Henseleit (born 14 January 1999) is a German professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. She won the silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Amateur career Henseleit attended Freie Waldorfschule Oldenburg and played for Golfclub am Meer before switching to Hamburg Golf Club in 2013. She joined the German national team in 2014 and finished third at the 2016 International Amateur Championship. In 2017 she was selected for the Junior Solheim Cup and in 2018 she was runner-up at the European Ladies Amateur Championship, one stroke behind Celia Barquín. She won the 2018 German National Amateur and the German Team Amateur Championship as well as the European Ladies' Club Trophy with Hamburg GC. The golf tournaments at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris ran from 1 to 10 August at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, featuring a total of 120 players (60 per gender) across two medal events. Women's British Open
The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lydia Ko, who won at the 2024 tournament.
