IRB Women's Sevens World Series
The World Rugby SVNS, known as the HSBC SVNS for sponsorship reasons, is a series of international rugby sevens tournaments for women's national teams run by World Rugby. The inaugural series was held in 2012–13 as the successor to the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup held the previous season. The competition has been sponsored by banking group HSBC since 2015. The series, the women's counterpart to the World Rugby Sevens Series, provides elite-level women's competition between rugby nations. As with the men's Sevens World Series, teams compete for the title by accumulating points based on their finishing position in each tournament. The IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup was a series of three tournaments run by the International Rugby Board for women's rugby sevens held for the 2011-12 season. England finished as the holders of the Cup and won two of the three tournaments. The first Challenge Cup tournament was held alongside the 2011 Dubai Sevens. Canada defeated England in the final to win the Cup. The second tournament was in Hong Kong, held alongside the 2012 Hong Kong Sevens on 23–24 March, with England claiming the Cup. France Women's Sevens
The France Women's Sevens is an annual women's rugby sevens tournament, and was one of the stops on the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series. France joined in the fourth year of the Series. As of the current 2019–20 season, the tournament is held at Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris, having returned to that venue after one edition at Parc des Sports Aguiléra in Biarritz.
