IF Väster
IF Väster is a Swedish football club located in Västra Frölunda. Background Idrottsföreningen Väster is a football club from western Gothenburg, with Önnered being the main catchment area. The club was formed in 1973 and has over 1000 active members. In addition to the men's and ladies teams the club runs an extensive youth section for boys and girls. In May 2010 IF Väster opened two new artificial turf pitches, one full size and the other 7-a-side. The most well known player who has represented IF Väster is Patrik Gustafson who played for Jonsereds IF and Örgryte IS before returning to his home club as a player and coach. Since their foundation IF Väster has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. Västra Frölunda, sometimes referred to as just Frölunda, is one of 21 boroughs in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. Jonsereds IF is a Swedish football club located in Jonsered, about east of Gothenburg (Göteborg). The club was founded on 2 May 1923 following the merger of Jonsereds GoIF and Bokedalens IF. Jonsereds IF currently plays in Division 3 Norra Götaland which is the fourth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Jonsereds IP. Background Since their foundation in 1921 Jonsereds IF has participated mainly in the middle divisions of the Swedish football league system. In season of 1923–24, Jonserads were moved to Division 2, Västsvenska Serien. In their first year in the new division, Jonserads finished second behind IFK Uddevalla. Örgryte Idrottssällskap, commonly referred to as Örgryte IS, Örgryte () or (especially locally) ÖIS or Öis, is a Swedish sports club based in Gothenburg. It consists of four departments, namely bowling, football, athletics and wrestling. However, the club is best known for its football department.
