"I'm Not Gonna Do Anything Without You" is a song by American country music artist Mark Wills, recorded as a duet with Australian country music artist Jamie O'Neal. The song was written by Rich Alves and Randy VanWarmer and produced by Keith Stegall and Carson Chamberlain. It was released on November 12, 2001, as the second and final single from Wills' fourth studio album ''Loving Every Minute'' (2001) and the fourth single from O'Neal debut studio album ''Shiver'' (2000) by Mercury Nashville, under whom both of them were signed to at the time. It reached number 31 on the US country singles chart. Critical reception Deborah Evans Price of ''Billboard'' gave the song a positive review, saying, "This lovely number starts off understated and builds to a gentle emotional crescendo that is effective, not overwrought. Mark Wills (born Daryl Mark Williams; August 8, 1973) is an American country music artist. Signed to Mercury Records between 1996 and 2003, he released five studio albums for the label – '' Mark Wills'', '' Wish You Were Here'', ''Permanently'', '' Loving Every Minute'', and '' And the Crowd Goes Wild'' – as well as a greatest hits package. In that same timespan, he charted sixteen singles on the ''Billboard'' country charts, all of which made the top 40. After leaving Mercury in 2003, he signed to Equity Music Group and charted three more singles. Paul V. Franklin (born May 31, 1954) is an American multi-instrumentalist, known mainly for his work as a steel guitarist. He began his career in the 1970s as a member of Barbara Mandrell's road band; in addition he toured with Vince Gill, Mel Tillis, Jerry Reed and Dire Straits. Paul is currently touring with Chris Stapleton. He has since become a prolific session musician in Nashville, playing on more than 500 albums. Eric A. Darken is an American percussionist, composer, and programmer. Biography Drawing inspiration from his grandfather, a band leader. Darken began playing drums at age 12, and played timpani and mallets in high school.
