Häme Province North (parliamentary Electoral District)
Pirkanmaa () is one of the 13 electoral districts of the Parliament of Finland, the national legislature of Finland. The district was established as Häme Province North (; ) in 1907 when the Diet of Finland was replaced by the Parliament of Finland. It was renamed Pirkanmaa in 1997. It is conterminous with the region of Pirkanmaa. The district currently elects 20 of the 200 members of the Parliament of Finland using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2023 parliamentary election it had 437,155 registered electors. History Häme Province North was one 16 electoral districts established by the ''Election Act of the Grand Duchy of Finland'' (''Suomen Suuriruhtinaanmaan Vaalilaki'') passed by the Diet of Finland in 1906. Electoral Districts Of Finland
There are 13 electoral districts for elections to the Finnish Parliament. Each electoral district elects a number of MPs proportional to its population, currently ranging from 6 to 35 MPs, except Åland (parliamentary electoral district), Åland which only elects one. Marko Asell (born 8 May 1970 in Ylöjärvi) is a Finnish wrestler and Olympic medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling. National Land Survey Of Finland
The National Land Survey of Finland (, ) is an official body, dealing with cartography and cadastre issues in Finland. It is subordinated the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Pirkanmaa (; ; ), also known as ''Tampere Region'' in government documents, is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Satakunta, South Ostrobothnia, Central Finland, Päijät-Häme, Kanta-Häme and Southwest Finland. Most of the water area in the Kokemäki River watershed is located in the Pirkanmaa region, although Lake Vanajavesi is partly in the Kanta-Häme region. Virrat (; ) is a town and municipality of Finland. Part of the Pirkanmaa region, it is located north of Tampere and west of Jyväskylä. Virrat is from Helsinki.
