''Huset på Christianshavn'' (''The House at Christianshavn'') was an 84-part television comedy series broadcast in Denmark between 1970 and 1977. It was produced by the Nordisk Film company for the national broadcasting corporation, DR (broadcaster), DR. 48 of the episodes were also shown in the German Democratic Republic on DFF. The series portrayed the lives of the residents of a block of flats in Christianshavn, an old part of Copenhagen. Erik Balling
Erik Balling (29 November 1924 – 19 November 2005) was a Danish TV and film director. He created two of Denmark's most popular TV-series, ''Matador'' and '' Huset på Christianshavn''. His feature film '' Qivitoq'' (1956) was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, and for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film. His 1962 film ''Den kære familie'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. Together with Henning Bahs, he also created the hugely popular series of '' Olsen Gang'' feature films. Jes Holtsø
Jes Holtsø (born 30 December 1956) is a Danish actor most notable for his role as Kjeld's son Børge in the ''Olsen-banden'' films. The reason that he was chosen to play Børge was actually his thick glasses, which became his characteristic. Later he played the Olsens' son (unrelated to the Olsen Gang), William Olsen in the Danish television series '' Huset på Christianshavn'' from 1970 to 1977 and the film based on the series '' Ballade på Christianshavn'' in 1971. As an adult Holtsø never pursued acting, though he did take part in the last Olsen Gang film, '' The Olsen Gang's Last Trick'', as the adult Børge. After having been a drug-addict and alcoholic for much of his youth, Holtsø is now clean, and has, himself, worked at an institution to help addicts. Ove Wendelboe Sprogøe Petersen (21 December 1919 – 14 September 2004) was a Danish actor. Life Born in Odense, his parents were Arthur and Inger Sprogøe Petersen. Flemming Gert Nielsen, known simply as Flemming Nielsen, (24 February 1934 – 16 November 2018) was a Danish football player in the midfielder position, who won a silver medal with the Denmark national football team at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He played professionally for Italian club Atalanta BC and Scottish club Morton. Born in Copenhagen, Nielsen played as an amateur for local clubs B 93 and AB.
