Hungary competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024. Hungarian athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games except two: Antwerp 1920 because of the country's role in World War I and Los Angeles 1984 as part of the 1984 Summer Olympics boycott, Soviet-led boycott. Hubert Kós (born 28 March 2003) is a Hungarian Swimming (sport), swimmer and a member of the University of Texas swim team. He is a List of junior world records in swimming, world junior record holder in the 200 metre individual medley and an Olympic champion in the 200 metre backstroke. Taekwondo At The 2024 Summer Olympics
The taekwondo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris ran from 7 to 10 August at the Grand Palais strip. 128 taekwondo fighters, with an equal distribution between men and women, competed across eight different weight categories (four per gender) at the Games, the same amount as the previous editions since Beijing 2008. Each weight category was composed of sixteen taekwondo fighters; however, this figure may increase if additional athletes are invited and selected from the Refugee Olympic Team. Qualification The taekwondo competition for Paris will feature a total of 128 athletes (64 men and 64 women) across eight different weight categories, the same amount as the previous editions since Beijing 2008. Viviana Márton
Viviana Márton Kiss (born 16 February 2006) is a Hungarian taekwondo athlete. She won the Olympic gold medal in the women's 67 kg in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Early life The daughter of Zsolt and Barbara Márton, her father formerly did kickboxing in Budapest and her mother played handball. Her parents moved to the Canary Islands in the early 2000s. She was born in Tenerife, and moved to Madrid in 2018. Career She trained at the Hankuk club in Madrid and where she was coached by Finnish former Olympic Taekwondo practitioner Suvi Mikkonen. Swimming At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's Marathon 10 Kilometre
The men's marathon 10 kilometre event at the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 9 August 2024 in the River Seine, Paris. France spent €1.2–1.6 billion to clean up the Seine in preparation for the Olympic events, but heavy rainfall caused bacteria levels to increase and one of the pre-event training sessions was cancelled. Nonetheless, another training session went ahead and the race started as scheduled. The race consisted of six 1.67 kilometer loops between Pont Alexandre III and Pont de l'Alma. When travelling from Pont Alexandre III to Pont de l'Alma, the athletes were swimming downstream, but on the way back they were swimming upstream. Kristóf Rasovszky (born 27 March 1997) is a Hungarian Olympic swimmer. He represented his country at the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Summer Olympics, winning the silver medal in the 10 kilometre open water swim in 2020 and the gold medal in the 10 kilometre open water swim in 2024.
