Charles Alfred Hodgetts, CMG, VD (23 August 1859 – 3 April 1952) was a Canadian medical doctor and public health official, described in his obituary as the "dean of Canadian public health". Chris Hodgetts
Christopher Leonard Hodgetts (born 6 December 1950 in Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire) is a British former racing driver. He began his racing career in 1979, driving in the Clubman Class A championship. BTCC career Hodgetts debuted in the British Touring Car Championship in 1980. His first overall podium place came in 1981 when he came second. He was consistent in the top five after that, mostly driving for the works Toyota team. He came fourth in 1983, fifth in 1984, second in 1985, before winning the series in 1986 and 1987 at the wheel of a Group C Toyota Corolla AE86. The 1988 season was not a success. The new Group A Toyota Supra needed a lot of development and only a handful of good results were gained. His last race in the BTCC was in 1990. David Hodgett
David John Hodgett (born 18 September 1963) is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly since 2006, representing the electorates of Kilsyth (2006–2014) and Croydon (2014–present). He was the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party from December 2014 to December 2018. Dennis Hodgetts
Dennis Hodgetts (28 November 1863 – 25 March 1945), commonly known as Denny Hodgetts, was a footballer in the early years of professional football in England. Signed as a Youth player for Mitchell St George's in 1878 and played for three years. When 17 he signed for Great Lever for the 1881–82 season. In 1882 he returned to Mitchell St. George's F.C. where he stayed for four years. Hodgetts signed for Aston Villa in February 1886. The following year he scored the first goal in Aston Villa's first FA Cup final triumph. In 1895 he collected another FA Cup winners medal with Villa. Hodgetts was also a key member of the Football League title-winning sides of 1894 and 1896. Season 1888–89 Hodgetts was described as powerful and alert and good with both feet. John Hodgetts
John Edwin Hodgetts, (May 28, 1917 – May 8, 2009) was a Canadian political scientist who is considered the father of public administration studies in Canada. Born in Omemee, Ontario (located near Peterborough, Ontario), he attended the University of Toronto, was a Rhodes Scholar, and graduated with a PhD from the University of Chicago in 1946. He started teaching political science at the University of Toronto in 1943, where he remained a Professor Emeritus until his death. From 1967 to 1969, he was the Principal of Victoria College and from 1970 to 1972 he was the President of Victoria University in the University of Toronto. In 2005, he was appointed to Justice John H. Gomery's Advisory Committee to help with Phase II or the Recommendations Phase of the Gomery Commission. Stefan Hodgetts (born 17 June 1982 in Bromsgrove) is a British auto racing driver, best known for driving a part season in the British Touring Car Championship. His father Chris was twice champion of the BTCC. Racing career After starting in karting, he switched to single-seater racing in 1998, in Formula 600. In 1999 he finished fifth in the Formula Vauxhall Championship and fourth in Formula Ford Winter Series. Henry Hodgetts-Foley
Henry John Wentworth Hodgetts-Foley of Prestwood House, then in Kingswinford parish (9 December 1828 – 23 April 1894) was a British MP. He was the son of John Hodgetts Hodgetts-Foley and a descendant of General Thomas Gage and Margaret Kemble, and it is through Kemble that he is a descendant of the Schuyler family, the Van Cortlandt family, and the Delancey family from colonial British North America. He represented South Staffordshire in Parliament from 1857–1868. He inherited the Prestwood estate in Kinver (also partly then in Kingswinford parish) from his father in 1861. He was appointed High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1877. His estate by the 1880s generated close to £7000 a year. He married Jane Frances Anne Vivian, the daughter of the first Lord Vivian.
