Hnahthial District
Hnahthial district is one of the eleven districts of Mizoram state in India. The creation of Hnahthial District was first notified on 12 September 2008 but until 2020, it remained non-functional despite a number of promises made by top political leaders and an all-out effort by Hnahthial District Function Demand Committee to let the state government make it functional. Hnahthial district was made functional only 12 years later on 3 June 2019 with the creation of the office of the Deputy Commissioner. Geography The district is bounded on the north by Serchhip district, Serchhip and on the south by Lawngtlai district, on the west by Lunglei, on the east by Myanmar. Hnahthial town is the administrative headquarters of the district. List Of Districts Of Mizoram
The Indian state of Mizoram is divided into 11 districts. Historical Administrative Divisions When Mizoram was a district under Assam it operated under a system of subdivisions. The district was halved into Aizawl and Lunglei. Before the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971 Lunglei was also composed of a Pawi-Lakher Subdivision based on councils. When Mizoram became a union territory on 21 January 1972, it was divided into three districts: Aizawl, Lunglei and Chhimtuipui. Later five more districts were carved out of the already existing three districts. Administrative structure A district of Mizoram is headed by a Deputy Commissioner who is in charge of the administration in that particular district. Siaha District
Siaha district is one of the eleven districts of Mizoram state in India. The district is bounded on the northwest by Lunglei district, on the north and west by Lawngtlai District and on the south and east by Myanmar. The district occupies an area of 1399.9 km2. Mizo Language
Mizo is a Tibeto-Burman language spoken mainly in the Indian state of Mizoram, where it is the official language and lingua franca. It is the mother tongue of the Mizo people and some members of the Mizo diaspora. Other than Mizoram, it is also spoken in Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, and Assam states of India, Sagaing Region and Chin State in Myanmar, and Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh.
