"Hind's Hall" is a protest song by American rapper Macklemore, released as a single on May6, 2024. Written and produced by Macklemore, it expresses support for the 2024 pro-Palestinian protests on university campuses, pro-Palestinian protests on university campuses that call for divestment from Israel and a ceasefire in the Gaza war. The song's title is a reference to pro-Palestinian activists' renaming of Hamilton Hall (Columbia University), Hamilton Hall at Columbia University to "Hind's Hall" in honor of Killing of Hind Rajab, Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip. In the song, Macklemore is critical of United States support for Israel in the Gaza war, the United States's funding of Israel; he describes Israeli-occupied territories, Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories as Israel and apartheid, apartheid. Benjamin Hammond Haggerty (born June 19, 1983), better known by his stage name Macklemore ( ; formerly Professor Macklemore), is an American rapper. A native of Seattle, Washington, he started his career in 2000 as an independent artist releasing: ''Open Your Eyes'' (2000), ''The Language of My World'' (2005), and ''The Unplanned Mixtape'' (2009).
