École Highland Secondary School
Highland Secondary School is a secondary school located in Comox, British Columbia, Canada in School District 71. The school opened in 1978 and educates approximately 730 students annually in grades 8–12. The school's sports teams all go by the name of the Highland Raiders. Students are separated into two school houses, which are colour-coded as gold and blue respectively. Each house has their own advisory system made up of groups whose names correspond to their colour and number (G-15, B-6, etc.). Every student attends their advisory group ("AG") for 10 minutes daily after their first class. Highland Secondary School (Dundas)
Highland Secondary School was a high school in Dundas, Ontario that opened in 1966. The school was a member of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, in Ward 13. Highland was originally conceived to be 25% Academic and 75% Vocational, but evolved into a fully comprehensive secondary school. Only 60% of Highland Secondary School students who graduated pursued post-secondary education, making Highland one of the lowest in the board. Highland Secondary was renamed Dundas Valley Secondary in June 2014, when nearby Parkside Secondary closed. Grey Highlands Secondary School is a Grade 9–12 high school located in Flesherton, Ontario, Canada, in rural Grey County. It was built in 1967. Early history Grey Highlands Secondary School (GHSS) was built in 1967 as one of the many new school construction projects undertaken by Education Minister, Bill Davis, in order to modernize and centralize rural elementary and secondary schools. When it opened in September 1968, it became the central high school for students from three smaller district high schools, covering a collection area of 195,000 hectares (750 square miles). Those smaller high schools were converted to elementary schools, which in turn replaced the many one- and two-room school houses that were still in operation until that time. Haliburton Highlands Secondary School (HHSS) is a small secondary school situated in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada, and is located on Head Lake. The school provides grades 9-12 education for all of Haliburton County and its surrounding area. Activities Haliburton Highlands Secondary School has strong drama and music programs. The school's drama students have participated in the filming of the Camp Rock films. Highlands School, Grange Park
Highlands School is a comprehensive school in Grange Park, Enfield, London, England. The school opened in 2000 in new purpose-built accommodation. From September 2006 the school has been full with pupils from Years 7 - 13 including a large sixth form. Houses Highlands School has four houses, Willow, Beech, Oak and Rowan. The students wear a dark green uniform with a dark green tie that has stripes of white. International Baccalaureate It has been an International Baccalaureate World School since December 2004, and sixth form students may take the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) instead of A-level examinations. Since the sixth form opened in September 2005, the first year of IB students took their exams in 2007, and 55% failed. Seven students were disqualified for alleged malpractice.
