Luv' were a Dutch girl group that scored a string of hit records in Continental Europe (Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway and Finland) as well as Israel, South Africa, Rhodesia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina and Mexico in the late 1970s and early 1980s. You're the Greatest LUVer is a German 1998 compilation album by Dutch girl group Luv' which features hit singles and album tracks from the formation's heyday (1977–1981). As the female pop trio dominated the charts in a large part of Continental Europe in the late 1970s, Germany was Luv's biggest export market. Luv' Gold is a 1993 greatest hits album by Dutch girl group Luv' which features hit singles like "You're the Greatest Lover", "Trojan Horse", "Casanova, "Ooh, Yes I Do" and some album tracks from the formation's heyday (1977 – 1981). This compilation peaked at #14 in the Netherlands and spent 18 weeks on the album charts. Luv' hadn't scored a hit album for nearly thirteen years. ''Goodbye Luv is a compilation album by Dutch girl group Luv' released by CNR/Carrere Records in 1981 after the formation announced its break-up. It features hit singles taken from the studio albums ''True Luv''' (1979) and '' Forever Yours'' (1980) and scored in the charts between 1979 and 1981 (Ooh, Yes I Do, Ann-Maria, One More Little Kissie, My Number One, Tingalingaling). Background The fact that Luv' disbanded came as no surprise. The problems started in August 1980 when Patty Brard left the trio. She was replaced by Ria Thielsch who was officially introduced to the public with the release of "My Number One" which was a big selling single in Benelux.
