Henry FitzAlan-Howard, 2nd Viscount FitzAlan Of Derwent
Henry Edmund FitzAlan-Howard, 2nd Viscount FitzAlan of Derwent OBE (30 October 1883 – 17 May 1962), was a British peer. Biography FitzAlan-Howard was the only son of Edmund FitzAlan-Howard, 1st Viscount FitzAlan of Derwent, second infancy-surviving son of Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 14th Duke of Norfolk, and Lady Mary Bertie (1859–1938), daughter of Montagu Bertie, 7th Earl of Abingdon. He served as a captain in the First World War and was wounded. After the war he was assistant private secretary from 1921 to 1922 to his father, the last Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. He succeeded to the viscountcy on his father's death in 1947, after which he became heir to the Dukedom of Norfolk, which he was until his own death. William Ward, 2nd Earl Of Dudley
William Humble Ward, 2nd Earl of Dudley, (25 May 1867 – 29 June 1932) was a British aristocrat, politician, and military officer who served as the List of Governors-General of Australia, fourth Governor-General of Australia, in office from 1908 to 1911. He was previously Lord Lieutenant of Ireland from 1902 to 1905, and also a government minister under Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, Lord Salisbury. Dudley was the son of William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley, and succeeded to the earldom at the age of 17. He inherited a substantial fortune and the palatial family seat at Witley Court. Dudley sat with the Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Party in the House of Lords, and was Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade from 1895 to 1902. He was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Ireland when Arthur Balfour came to power, and was regarded as a competent administrator. Howard Family (English Aristocracy)
The Howard family is an English noble family founded by John Howard, who was created Duke of Norfolk (third creation) by King Richard III of England in 1483. However, John was also the eldest grandson (although maternal) of the 1st Duke of the first creation. Viscount FitzAlan Of Derwent
Viscount FitzAlan of Derwent, of Derwent in the County of Derby, was a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1921 for Lord Edmund Talbot on his appointment as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Born Lord Edmund FitzAlan-Howard, he was the third born, but second surviving son of Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 14th Duke of Norfolk. In 1876 he assumed by Royal licence the surname of Talbot in lieu of his patronymic in an unsuccessful attempt to succeed to the estates of Bertram, 17th Earl of Shrewsbury and Waterford, having been named by will as his successor and chief beneficiary. Shortly after being raised to the peerage he resumed his first surname. The title became extinct on the death of his son, the second Viscount, in 1962. Montagu Square is a garden square in Marylebone, London. It is centred 550 metres north of Marble Arch. It spans by . and is oriented on an axis of about NNW. Save for No.s 27 to 29 the long sides (NNW-SSE) are Grade II listed residential buildings. Montagu Place runs along the north end; George Street along the south; both have a crossroads on the western side with Upper Montagu/Montagu Streets, each in turn one block away from retail/service premises fronted streets.
