Hennen's American Public Library Ratings
There are several national systems for assessing, evaluating, or otherwise rating the quality of public libraries. United States Basic library statistics (not rankings) were initially maintained by the National Center for Educational Statistics; that body continues to collect data for academic libraries, but administration of the Public Libraries Survey and the State Library Agencies Survey was transferred to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in October 2007. IMLS continues to conduct public library surveys as well as distribute historical data from surveys back to 1988. The Library Data Archives includes longitudinal data sets. Waukesha County Federated Library System
The Bridges Library System is a consortium of 24 Public library, public libraries in Waukesha County, Wisconsin and Jefferson County, Wisconsin. The Bridges Library System is one of 15 public library systems in Wisconsin. The system was established under Wisconsin Statute 43.15 by action of the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors in January 1981 as the Waukesha County Federated Library System. The system transitioned to a two-county system on January 1, 2016, when Jefferson County joined and the name was changed to Bridges Library System. An eleven-member board governs the System.
