Helmut Tollmann
Helmut G. Tollmann born 1945 in Cologne, is a German artist, working now for about 50 years as a photographer, painter, performance and large screen multi-vision artist. He finished the training as a graphics designer in 1964. Subsequently, he studied graphics and design at the Kölner Werkschulen until 1968. Even in this time he started his career as a professional free artist. Life 1. beginnings: Photography, multi-vision and painting 1965- 1969 During these early years, Helmut Tollmann was experiencing a lot of photographical techniques and chemical procedures. Ralph Tepel
Ralph Tepel (born 1 March 1964) is a German artist. He works as a fine art photographer, painter, sculptor and as a sound performance artist. Life Tepel was born on 1 March 1964 in Celle. He started painting, drawing and sculpturing in his childhood and youth. In school he found a catalyzer in his art teacher. 1983 he got his university entrance diploma at Wilhelm-Döpfeld-Gymnasium. He studied theology, art and design at the universities of Wuppertal, Heidelberg, and Bonn. From 1995 to 1997 he studied as a master scholar with Professor Alfons Engling, after his return from São Paulo, Brazil to Cologne, Germany. Kölnisches Stadtmuseum
The Kölnische Stadtmuseum is the municipal history museum of Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is housed in the former Franz Sauer fashion house since March 2024, which has been completely remodelled for the museum. The site is centrally located between the Minorite Church, Kolumba, Museum Kolumba and Breite Straße. Its collection includes around 350,000 objects from the Middle Ages to the immediate present. The holdings range from the city seal from 1268 to paintings and graphics, militaria, coins, textiles, furniture and everyday objects to material evidence of current Cologne events. Social, economic and cultural history of the last 1200 years can thus be explored both on the individual object and in thematic depth. Photokina 2004
Photokina is a trade fair held in Europe for the photographic and imaging industries. It is the world's largest such trade fair. The first Photokina was held in Cologne, Germany, in 1950, and since 1966 it has been held biennially in September at the Koelnmesse Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre in Deutz. The final Photokina under the then-current biennial cycle took place in 2018. Initially, the promoters planned to start a new annual cycle in 2019, with future shows to be held in May, but they later decided not to begin the new annual cycle until 2020. The worldwide outbreak of the Coronavirus disease 2019 and its effect on the imaging industry made Koelnmesse decide to cancel both Photokina 2020 and Photokina 2021.
