"Valentine" is a song by British band T'Pau, which was released in 1988 as the fifth single from their debut studio album '' Bridge of Spies''. It was written by Ronnie Rogers and Carol Decker, and produced by Roy Thomas Baker. It reached No. 9 in the UK and remained on the charts for eight weeks. A promotional video was filmed to promote the single, directed by Brian Grant. The single's B-side, "Giving My Love Away", was exclusive to the single. Chris Lord-Alge
Chris Lord-Alge is an American mix engineer. He is the brother of both Tom Lord-Alge and Jeff Lord-Alge, both of whom are also audio engineers. Chris and Tom are known for their abundant use of dynamic range compression for molding mixes that play well on small loudspeaker and FM broadcasting. Lord-Alge frequently collaborates with Howard Benson, who has produced the plurality of his mix discography. Career Lord-Alge worked at Unique Recording Studios in New York City in the 1980s. Gary Barnacle
Gary Barnacle (born 1959) is an English saxophonist, flautist, brass instrument arranger, composer, and producer. Barnacle is primarily noted for his session work and live work, including various Prince's Trust concerts at Wembley Arena, the Royal Albert Hall and the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. He performed at the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute at Wembley Stadium in 1988, and appeared on television and in music videos during the 1980s and 1990s with many popular music acts. He was also in an electropop duo called Leisure Process from 1982 to 1983 with ex- Positive Noise singer Ross Middleton. Dean Howard (musician)
Dean Howard (born 7 May 1961, Greenwich, London) is a guitarist who was part of Ian Gillan's backing band on the Deep Purple frontman's U.S. solo tour in August and September 2006. Dean was working with Toby Jepson (ex Little Angels), and was with Air Race. Career Howard first came into the public eye in the 1980s when he joined the pop/rock band T'Pau, fronted by the singer Carol Decker. Howard joined after their debut album '' Bridge of Spies'' was released and original lead guitarist, Taj Wyzgowski, had departed. He added a more heavy rock style of guitar work which was first featured on the re-recording of one of the tracks from Bridge of Spies, " China in Your Hand". This subsequently stayed at number one in the UK single charts for five weeks and was the band's biggest hit. He remained lead guitarist on the group's next two albums, ''Rage'' and '' The Promise'', but has not been involved with the more recent incarnations of the band. "China in Your Hand" is a song by English pop group T'Pau from their debut studio album, '' Bridge of Spies'' (1987). A re-recorded version was released as a single in October 1987, spending five weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart. "China in Your Hand" was the 600th single to top the UK chart. The song also reached number one in Belgium, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland. The 7" single cover picture is a still of Carol Decker taken from the music video to the track, "Bridge of Spies", which had preceded the release of "I Will Be With You" in some international territories.
