The Health and Social Care Select Committee (abbreviated to HSC, HSCC and HSCSC) is a Departmental Select Committee of the British House of Commons, the lower house of the United Kingdom Parliament. Its remit is to examine the policy, administration and expenditure of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and its associated agencies and public bodies. Deirdre Theresa Costigan is a British politician and trade unionist who has been the Labour Party Member of Parliament (MP) for Ealing Southall in the United Kingdom House of Commons since 2024. Early career Costigan was born in Dublin, Ireland, and emigrated to London in the 1990s. She was a shop steward for the trade union Unison. Gregory James Stafford is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Farnham and Bordon since 2024.
