Happy New Year '49 ( sh, Srećna nova '49.; mk, Среќна Нова ’49) is a 1986 Yugoslavian Macedonian-language drama film directed by Stole Popov, starring Svetozar Cvetković, Meto Jovanovski, Vladislava Milosavljević and Aco Đorčev. It was Yugoslavia's submission to the 59th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but it failed to make the nominees shortlist. Gordan Mihić ( sr-Cyrl, Гордан Михић; 19 September 1938 – 11 August 2019) was a Serbian playwright best known for his work on movie scripts for ''Black Cat, White Cat'', ''Time of the Gypsies'', '' Balkan Express'' and for the TV series '' Otvorena vrata'' and ''Kamiondžije ''Kamiondžije'' ('Truckers') is a 1972–1973 Yugoslav TV series. The 59th Academy Awards ceremony, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), took place on March 30, 1987, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles beginning at 6:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. EST. SFR Yugoslavia
The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. It emerged in 1945, following World War II, and lasted until 1992, with the breakup of Yugoslavia occurring as a consequence of the Yugoslav Wars.
