Hamilton's Pharmacopeia
''Hamilton's Pharmacopeia'' is an American docuseries, which premiered on Viceland on October 26, 2016. The show follows Hamilton Morris as he explores the history, chemistry and social impact of psychoactive substances. It chronicles Morris' travels and first-hand experiences, as well as interviews with scientists, shamans and fringe culture figures. Phencyclidine or phenylcyclohexyl piperidine (PCP), also known in its use as a street drug as angel dust among other names, is a dissociative anesthetic mainly used recreationally for its significant mind-altering effects. Ethnoherpetology is the study of the past and present interrelationships between human cultures and reptiles and amphibians. Colorado River Toad
The Colorado River toad (''Incilius alvarius''), also known as the Sonoran Desert toad, is a toad species found in northwestern Mexico and the southwestern United States. It is well known for its ability to exude toxins from glands within its skin that have psychoactive properties. Description The Colorado River toad can grow to about long and is the largest toad in the United States apart from the non-native cane toad (''Rhinella marina''). It has a smooth, leathery skin and is olive green or mottled brown in color. Just behind the large golden eye with horizontal pupil is a bulging kidney-shaped parotoid gland. Darrell Lemaire
Darrell Lemaire (August 28, 1926 – January 2019) was an American mining engineer and psychedelic drug researcher. Lemaire was born in Reno, Nevada on August 28, 1926. He died from cancer in January 2019, at the age of 92. Lemaire spent two years in the U.S. Navy (1944–46). He then earned a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Nevada in 1950, followed by his master's in metallurgical engineering from Mackay School of Mines (1954). While working at a Uranium processing plant in Arizona, working closely with Navajo natives, Lemaire discovered peyote, and became intensely interested in manufacturing and testing a variety of psychoactive substances. Casey William Hardison
Casey William Hardison (born 1971) is an American chemist convicted in the United Kingdom in 2005 of six offences involving psychedelic drugs: three of production, two of possession, and one of exportation. Background Hardison was born in Washington state in the summer of 1971. He is committed to the entheogenic use of psychedelic substances. Ichthyoallyeinotoxism, or hallucinogenic fish inebriation, comes from eating certain species of fish found in several parts of the tropics, the effects of which are reputed to be similar in some aspects to LSD. Experiences may include vivid auditory and visual hallucinations. This has given rise to the collective common name "dream fish" for ichthyoallyeinotoxic fish.
