Hans Hahne (archaeologist)
Hans Hahne (18 Mar 1875, Piesdorf–2 Feb 1935, Halle (Saale) ) was a German physician and prehistorian. Life Hans Hahne was born the son of a sugar manufacturer. He attended school in Artern and after 1885 in Berlin and Magdeburg, where he graduated in 1894 from the ''Domgymnasium''. At the Universities of Jena, Munich, and Leipzig, he studied natural sciences and medicine and received his MD in 1899. This was followed by specialist training in Bern, Berlin, and Leipzig. In 1902 Hahne settled in Magdeburg as an internist and neurologist, but closed his practice in 1905 to devote himself to prehistory and early history . In the years 1905-1907 Hahne studied prehistory under Gustaf Kossinna at the University of Berlin. From 1907 he became assistant at the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hannover, where he was appointed assistant director in 1908. Hubert Hahne (; 28 March 1935 – 24 April 2019) was a racing driver from Germany. He was the older brother of Armin Hahne, as well as the uncle of Jörg van Ommen. Career He participated in five Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, two of those at the wheel of Formula Two cars, and one non-Championship Formula One race. Hahne was successful in touring car racing, including the European Touring Car Championship. In 1966, he raced a BMW New Class 2000TI. The chain had stores located throughout the Central Jersey, central and North Jersey, northern areas of New Jersey. History The firm was founded by Julius Hahne in 1858 as a specialty store which by the early 20th century had grown into a full-line department store. The store's motto was "The Store With The Friendly Spirit", and it became known as the "carriage trade" store in Newark, New Jersey, Newark. Hahnemühle FineArt, Inc. is a paper manufacturing company in the Relliehausen district of Dassel, Germany. It is a significant producer of coated paper for inkjet printing, artist's paper for traditional painting and printing techniques, and filter paper for industry and research. History The company traces its origins to the construction of a paper mill by Merton Speiss on 27 February 1584 in Relliehausen at the source of a river in the Solling (a range of hills). This is but one of many such paper mills known to have existed in the vicinity of Dassel between the Weser and the Leine rivers, but it is the only one to have survived over the centuries. On 30 August 1769 the descendants of the Spiess family sold the mill to Peter Johann Jacob Heinrich Andrae from Osterode for 4,500 Reichsthaler.
