Güney Sanayi (men's Basketball)
Güney is a municipality and district of Denizli Province, Turkey. Its area is 362 km2, and its population is 9,448 (2022). Güney district area neighbors those of four other districts of the same province from east to west, clockwise Buldan, Pamukkale and Çal and ranges Eşme district of Uşak Province in the north. Güney district area is located at one of the sources of Büyük Menderes River. Güney town lies at a distance of north of the province seat of Denizli. It is situated on a steep hillside. Formerly a township depending Çal at first and then Buldan, Güney was made into a district center in 1948. Pamukkale winery has many of its vineyards in Güney. Güney Falls (''Güney Şelalesi''), at a distance of from the district center is a visitor attraction and is under official protection. Lydia
Lydia (; ) was an Iron Age Monarchy, kingdom situated in western Anatolia, in modern-day Turkey. Later, it became an important province of the Achaemenid Empire and then the Roman Empire. Its capital was Sardis. At some point before 800 BC, the Lydian people achieved some sort of political cohesion, and existed as an independent kingdom by the 600s BC. At its greatest extent, during the 7th century BC, it covered all of western Anatolia. In 546 BC, it became a Lydia (satrapy), satrapy of the Achaemenid Empire, known as ''Sparda'' in Old Persian. In 133 BC, it became part of the Roman Republic, Roman Asia (Roman province), province of Asia. Lydian coins, made of electrum, are among the oldest in existence, dated to around the 7th century BC. Eziler, Güney
Eziler is a neighbourhood of the municipality and district of Güney, Denizli Province, Turkey. Its population is 2,041 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (''belde''). In 1993, Eziler was granted municipal status and designated as a town. In 2012, Turkish law classified Eziler as a neighborhood. Overview Eziler is from the district center, and from Denizli. The main economy of the village is animal husbandry and agriculture, particularly thyme and walnut farming.
