2019 European Games
The 2nd European Games 2019 (, ''Jeŭrapiejskija huĺni 2019''; , ''Yevropeyskiye igry 2019''), also known as the 2019 European Games or Minsk 2019 (; ), were held in Minsk, Belarus, from 21 June to 30 June 2019. The games featured 200 events in 15 sports (23 disciplines). Around 4,000 athletes from 50 countries participated. Ten of the sports offered qualification opportunities for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. The opening ceremony at the Dinamo Stadium (Minsk), Dinamo Stadium was held on 21 June, and the closing ceremony at the same venue was held on 30 June. Minsk Arena
Minsk Arena () is the main indoor arena in Minsk, Belarus. The Minsk-Arena complex includes the main multi-purpose arena (capable of hosting 15,000 spectators) with an open multi-level parking lot (with 1,080 parking spaces) alongside an interconnected 2,000-seat velodrome and a 3,000-seat speed skating rink. Complex venues Minsk-Arena was created by the decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the construction of a multi-disciplinary sports complex, which was issued at the end of 2005. Construction work began in the spring of 2006. The general designer of the complex was "Bilproekt", and the general contractor was "Minskprombud". The Minsk Arena Velodrome opened on 30 December 2008 and can accommodate 2,000 spectators. Sára Eszter Péter (born 6 July 2002) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 European Games bronze medalist on the vault and is a four-time European Championships vault finalist. She won a silver medal on the vault at the 2019 Paris World Challenge Cup. Gymnastics career At the junior level, Péter won the silver medal in the all-around at the 2017 Hungarian Championships. 2018 Péter became age-eligible for senior international competition in 2018. She competed at the 2018 Gymnasiade where the Hungarian team of Péter, Nóra Fehér, Csenge Bácskay, Bianka Schermann, Zoja Szekely won the gold medal. Péter won the bronze medal on the vault. Marina Nekrasova
Marina Nekrasova (; born 19 April 1995) is a Russian-born artistic gymnast who has represented Azerbaijan since 2013. She is the 2019 Summer Universiade vault champion. At the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, she won gold in the team event and silver medals on the vault and balance beam. She is also a three-time World Challenge Cup vault champion. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games, making her the first woman artistic gymnast to represent Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games. Elīna Vihrova (born 27 June 2002) is a Latvian artistic gymnast. She is the 2019 Latvian national champion and the 2020 Szombathely Challenge Cup balance beam silver medalist, and has competed at two World Championships (2018, 2019).
