Gymnastics At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's Artistic Qualification
Qualifications for Women's artistic gymnastic competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics was held at the Beijing National Indoor Stadium on August 10. The results of the qualification determined the qualifiers to the finals: eight teams in the team final, 24 gymnasts in the all-around final, and eight gymnasts in each of four apparatus finals. The competition was divided into four sessions, at 10:00am, 1:30pm, 5:00pm and 8:00pm. 2008 Summer Olympics
The 2008 Summer Olympics (), officially the Games of the XXIX Olympiad () and officially branded as Beijing 2008 (), were an international multisport event held from 8 to 24 August 2008, in Beijing, China. A total of 10,942 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competed in 28 sports and 302 events, one event more than those scheduled for the 2004 Summer Olympics. This was the first time China had hosted the Olympic Games, and the third time the Summer Olympic Games had been held in East Asia, following the 1964 Summer Olympics, 1964 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, and the 1988 Summer Olympics, 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Kramarenko (, born April 22, 1991, in Leningrad) is a Russian artistic gymnast. She is the 2007 European bronze medalist on the uneven bars and 2014 World bronze medalist in the team competition. Senior career At the 2007 European Championships, Kramarenko placed 5th in the all-around final and won the bronze medal on the uneven bars. 2007 World Championships At the 2007 World Championships team final Kramarenko bailed on her vault and placed her hands on the vaulting table to stop her momentum. This automatically earned her a score of zero, dropping the Russian team from medal contention to last place. Lauren Stephanie Mitchell (born 23 July 1991) is an Australian former artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnast. She is the 2010 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2010 World champion on the Floor (gymnastics), floor exercise and the 2009 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2009 World Championships silver medalist on the balance beam and floor exercise. Daria "Dasha" Joura (; born 2 May 1990) is a retired Australian gymnast. She is a triple Australian senior all-around champion and competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in 2006 and 2007. Ashleigh Jade Brennan (born 18 January 1991) is an Australians, Australian former gymnast who was on the Australia Gymnastics Artistic Women's National Team. Shona Morgan (born 1 September 1990) is an Australian former gymnast, who trained at the Waverley Gymnastics Centre in Victoria under John Hart and Shaoyi Jiang. Andreea Florentina Grigore (born 11 April 1991) is a Romanian former artistic gymnast. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal with Romania in the team event. Anamaria "Ana" Tămârjan (also spelled Tămîrjan, born 8 May 1991) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. She is a bronze Olympic medalist and a gold European medalist with the team.
