Guānzhuang Station
Guanzhuang station ( zh, s=关庄站 , t=關莊站 , p=Guānzhuāng zhàn) is a station on Line 15 of the Beijing Subway. It was opened on December 28, 2014. Name conflict This station had the same English name as a station on the Batong line, also part of the Beijing Subway system. In Chinese this is not a problem as the station on Line 15 is called and the one on the Batong Line is called , but the government policy is to create English names from the pinyin transliteration of Chinese language, but without the tone markers; thus () and () are both rendered as ''Guanzhuang'', making them look identical. In December 2019, the () station on Batong line changed spelling to ''Guaanzhuang''. Batong Line
The Batong Line of the Beijing Subway () is an east–west rapid transit line in eastern Beijing. It extends Line 1 further east from in Chaoyang District to in Tongzhou District. Through operation with Line 1 started on August 29, 2021. The Batong Line derives its name by combining the first character of Bawangfen (), another name for Sihui, and Tongzhou (), the eastern suburban district of Beijing which the line serves. The Batong Line is mainly above ground with only section is underground and runs from in the west to in the east. The color of the Batong Line that is shown on maps, like that of Line 1, is dark red. The line tends to be very crowded during rush hour. To alleviate this headways were reduced and express services were introduced during rush hour in early 2020. Datun Subdistrict () is a subdistrict on northwest of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. An island platform (also center platform (American English) or centre platform (British English)) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are sometimes used between the opposite-direction tracks on twin-track route stations as they are cheaper and occupy less area than other arrangements. Line 15 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit rail line in northern Beijing. Line 15's color is purple.
