Guaros De Lara (basketball)
The Guaros de Lara is a Venezuelan professional basketball club, that is based in Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela. Guaros de Lara BBC has existed as a club in various different forms since 1983. It has existed in its current form since 2003. The club competes in the Venezuelan LPB. The club has won two Venezuelan LPB national domestic titles. On the international stage, the club also has one continental FIBA South American League title, and three intercontinental titles, consisting of two FIBA Americas League titles and one FIBA Intercontinental Cup title. History In 1982, Flavio Fridegotto decided to sell his ownership in the Colosos de Carabobo basketball team, which led the club move from Carabobo, to the city of Acarigua. The Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto, commonly known as the SPB, is the Venezuelan first division national professional basketball league. Founded in 1974 as the Liga Especial de Baloncesto, it adopted the name Liga Profesional de Baloncesto in the 1993 season, and the name SuperLiga in 2019. 2017 FIBA Intercontinental Cup
The 2017 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 27th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The cup winner was decided through one game, which was held on September 24, 2017. It was contested by the 2017 FIBA Americas League champions, Guaros de Lara, and the 2017 FIBA Champions League champions, Iberostar Tenerife. The title game was held at the Santiago Martín, in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Champions of the EuroLeague were not allowed to participate by FIBA, due to the EuroLeague's dispute with FIBA. The 2019 FIBA Americas League was the 12th edition of the top-tier level intercontinental professional club basketball competition in the Americas and last for the FIBA Americas League. Sixteen teams from across the Americas competed over three rounds, to determine the champion. Estudiantes Concordia
Club Estudiantes Concordia is an Argentine sports club located in the city of Concordia, Entre Ríos. The club is mostly known for its basketball team, which plays at Liga Nacional de Básquet, the top division of Argentine basketball league system. Estudiantes' arena is known as ''El Gigante Verde'', which has a capacity of 1,600 spectators. Association football is other notable sport of Estudiantes.
