Carl Eduard Gruner (in English, often referred to as Charles Edward Gruner) was a Basel-born Swiss engineer, manager of the Swissboring Company and later on a partner at the "Gruner Brothers" ("Gebr. Gruner", today "Gruner Group") engineering company. Elioth Lauritz Leganyer Gruner (16 December 1882 – 17 October 1939) was an Australian artist. A successor of the ''plein air'' Heidelberg School tradition in Australian art, Gruner is known for his high-key impressionist landscapes and his ability to capture the ephemeral effects of light. According to Norman Lindsay, Gruner "painted the purest light that ever has been seen on a bit of canvas". Gruner won the Wynne Prize for landscape painting seven times, the most of any Australian artist besides Hans Heysen. Fr Nicholas Nightingale Gruner (May 4, 1942April 29, 2015) was a Roman Catholic priest and a promoter of the message of Our Lady of Fátima, a recognized apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fátima, Portugal, in 1917. Franz Rudolf Paul Gruner (13 January 1869 in Bern – 11 December 1957) was a Switzerland, Swiss physicist. Life He attended the gymnasium in Morges, the Free Gymnasium Bern, and passed the matura at another gymnasium in Bern. He studied at the universities of University of Bern, Bern, University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, and University of Zurich, Zurich. Biography Gruner received her Fine Arts Degree from Bezalel Academy of Art & Design (1978-1982) and pursued her master's degree in Fine Arts at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston (1984-1986). Sybille Gruner (born 18 May 1969 in Erfurt, East Germany) was a member of the German women's national handball team between 1989 and 1995. In 1993 the team won the world championship in a very close game against Denmark. One year later, during the European championship final in Berlin, they played the Danish team again and lost. Early life and family Walther Karl Grünebaum was born at Blumenstrasse 13, Frankfurt, Germany to Jewish parents.
