Greek Football PSAP Awards
The Greek football PSAPP awards are a number of awards given annually by the Panhellenic Association of Professional Football Players (PSAPP) ''()''. These awards are given annually to players playing in the Super League Greece, Super League Greece 2 and in the Greek A Division. Until 2021, they were also given to players from the Greek third division. Managers and referees are also awarded by PSAPP on an annual basis. Super League Greece
The Super League Greece 1 (), or Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Greece and the highest level of the Greek football league system. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced ''Alpha Ethniki'' at the top of the Greek league system. The members of the cooperative are the Football Limited Companies (P.A.E.) that have the right to participate in the Super League 1 championship. The president of Super League 1 is Evangelos Marinakis, Vangelis Marinakis, who has been re-elected for the third time. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games each followed by 6-game Championship play-offs to decide the champions. As of April 2025, Super League Greece is ranked 12th in the UEFA coefficient, UEFA ranking of leagues, based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Giorgos Skartados
Georgios Skartados (Greek: Γεώργιος Σκαρτάδος; born 7 April 1960) is a Greek former international footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Born in Rhodes, Skartados started his football career at local club Rodos in 1975, aged 15. The next year, he joined the first team and after two seasons in the second division, they managed to get promoted to the top-tier Alpha Ethniki in 1978. In the summer of 1982, he joined PAOK and quickly became a first-team regular at the ''White-blacks of the North''. Although he was initially acquired by PAOK president Giorgos Pantelakis to replace Giannis Gounaris as a right wing-back, Skartados shined as a ''box-to-box midfielder'' who had good all-round abilities, skilled at both defending and attacking. Regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in club's history, Skartados wore the No 8 white-black jersey for ten seasons and won the league title in 1985. Kostas Frantzeskos
Kostas Frantzeskos (, born 4 January 1969) is a Greek professional football manager and former player. Frantzeskos is better known for his deadly free-kick accuracy. He scored 57 free kick goals during his career. Career As a youngster, Kostas played for Vouliagmeni. He started his Football A Division career in Panathinaikos, after they picked him up in 1990. He was very quick to adapt and soon made his 1st division debut, in a very successful season, with Panathinaikos winning the double. He made nearly 100 appearances for the Greens - including 11 European games - winning one championship and three cups. Demis Nikolaidis
Themistoklis "Demis" Nikolaidis (; born 17 September 1973) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was the forty second president of AEK Athens, and is considered one of the greatest forwards Greece has produced. In his early childhood and teenage years he lived in the city of Alexandroupoli, in the northeast part of Greece. Christos Kostis (, born 15 January 1972) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a forward. Kostis is widely regarded to be one of the most technical players Greece has ever produced, but his great injury in 1997 stopped his from making a big career. Vassilis Karapialis (; born 13 June 1965) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Club career Early years Born in Ambelokipoi, Larissa Karapialis started with street football, and in 1979, aged 14, he joined the Toxotis Larissa youth team. Georgios Donis
Georgios Donis (; born 22 October 1969) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and currently the manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Khaleej.
