Greater Cochin Development Authority
Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) is a statutory body headquartered in Kadavanthra, Kerala, India, established in 1976. It is responsible for the development planning of the Kochi Municipal Corporation (except two wards), nine adjacent municipal councils, and 21 intervening gram panchayats, covering a total area of 632 km2. The GCDA is one of the two development bodies in Kochi, the other being Goshree Islands Development Authority which oversees development planning of eight island panchayats, covering an area of 100 km2. Kadavanthra
Kadavanthra is a ward in downtown Kochi, Kerala. It is bounded by the S.A Road to the east ( MG Road-side) and the Giri Nagar canal in the west. Kadavanthra is a major commercial centre of Kochi, and a prime residential area. In recent years, the ward has undergone rapid development to become one of Kochi's highest-valued regions. North Paravur (; formerly known as Paravur or Parur), is a municipality in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. Kumbalangi () is an island village in the outskirts of Kochi city in the state of Kerala, India. Chellanam
Chellanam is a village and a suburb of Kochi city in the Indian state of Kerala. History Chellanam formed the southern border of the pre-colonial Kingdom of Cochin.
