Great American Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The Great American Conference women's basketball tournament is the annual conference basketball championship tournament for the Great American Conference. The tournament has been held annually since 2012, one year after the conference was initially founded. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament. Southwestern Oklahoma State has won the most tournaments with four. The Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm (also Southeastern Savage Storm and SOSU Savage Storm), formerly known as the Savages until 2006, are the athletic teams that represent Southeastern Oklahoma State University, located in Durant, Oklahoma, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. Southern Arkansas Muleriders
The Southern Arkansas Muleriders represent Southern Arkansas University in intercollegiate athletics. They are a member of the Great American Conference and compete in NCAA Division II, fielding 16 varsity teams in 10 sports. Sports sponsored Men's basketball SAU has been playing men's basketball since the school was formed in 1911. The winningest coach in Mulerider history was Coach W.T. Watson. Serving as coach from 1965 to 1980, Watson compiled a record of 300–151. Watson's teams won championships in 1966, 1967, and 1971. Watson was named athletic director in 1980 and was replaced as basketball coach by Monroe Ingram. Ingram, a former Mulerider baseball coach, led the Mulerider basketball program from 1980 until his retirement in 1997. Ingram went 257–193 won the AIC in 1990. The Ouachita Baptist Tigers are composed of 16 teams representing Ouachita Baptist University in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, golf, soccer, swimming, and tennis. The Henderson State Reddies is the school mascot and athletic emblem for Henderson State University, located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
