Granville Charles Gomer Gordon, 13th Marquis of Huntly (born 4 February 1944), styled Earl of Aboyne until 1987, is a Scottish peer and the Premier Marquess of Scotland. He was a hereditary member of the House of Lords from 1987 to 1999. Early life Huntly is the son of Douglas Gordon, 12th Marquess of Huntly, by the Honourable Mary Pamela Berry, daughter of Gomer Berry, 1st Viscount Kemsley. His older sister, Lady Pamela Lemina Gordon, married the Hon. Ian Henry Lawson-Johnston (second son of Ian Lawson-Johnston, 2nd Baron Luke) in 1970. He was educated at Gordonstoun. Career He succeeded to the marquessate of Huntly in 1987 on the death of his father (who had inherited the marquessate from his great-uncle, Charles Gordon, 11th Marquess of Huntly) and contributed occasionally in the House of Lords. David Harrington Angus Douglas, 12th Marquess of Queensberry (born 19 December 1929) is an Anglo-Scottish aristocrat and pottery designer. Meldrum was a multinational heavy metal band formed by ex-Phantom Blue guitarist Michelle Meldrum. History American guitarist Michelle Meldrum started her first band Wargod with Strapping Young Lad drummer Gene Hoglan, later going on to form Phantom Blue, with whom she released two albums and an EP between 1989 and 1993. Meldrum was formed in Sweden in late 1999 with Hasse Sjölander on the drums, who was later replaced by Fredrik Haake. The title of Earl of Aboyne in the Peerage of Scotland is held by the Gordon family, with the heir apparent to the Marquessate of Huntly using it as a courtesy title. The peerage title of Earl of Aboyne was originally created in September 1660 for Lord Charles Gordon.
