La Vie Claire was a professional road bicycle racing team named after its chief sponsor La Vie Claire, a chain of health food stores. History The La Vie Claire team was created in 1984 by Bernard Tapie and directed by Paul Köchli. The team included five-time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault, and three-time winner, Greg LeMond, as well as Andrew Hampsten and the Canadian Steve Bauer. With Hinault winning the Tour in 1985, and LeMond winning in 1986, plus winning the team trophy both years, La Vie Claire cemented their place in cycling team history. The team formed after Bernard Hinault had a dispute with his former directeur sportif Cyrille Guimard of Renault–Elf–Gitane with whom Hinault had won four editions of the Tour de France. After Hinault's teammate Laurent Fignon won the 1983 Tour de France while Hinault was injured, Fignon became the designated leader of the team. The 2021 Cholet-Pays de la Loire was the 43rd edition of the Cholet-Pays de la Loire road cycling one day race, which was held on 28 March 2021, starting and finishing in the French town of Cholet, in the Maine-et-Loire department. The route covers and finishes off with seven laps of an long circuit within Cholet. The race was a 1.1-rated event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the second event of the 2021 French Road Cycling Cup. The race was won in a sprint finish by Elia Viviani () ahead of Jon Aberasturi () and Pierre Barbier (). Initially, Nacer Bouhanni () finished third in the race, but he was first relegated and then disqualified following a dangerous sprint, during which he pushed Jake Stewart () into the barriers, breaking Stewart's hand. Crelan–Euphony () was a UCI Professional Continental cycling team based in Belgium that participated in UCI Continental Circuits races and when selected as a wildcard to UCI ProTour events. Mapei was an Italian-based road bicycle racing team active from 1993 to 2002, named after sponsoring firm Mapei. Mapei was one of the strongest teams during the late 1990s, and ranked as the strongest Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI team in 1994–2000 and 2002.
