Grand Finale (RuPaul's Drag Race Season 14)
"Grand Finale" is the sixteenth episode of the fourteenth season of the American television series ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. It was filmed at Flamingo Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and originally aired on April 22, 2022. Episode All of the contestants return for the grand finale. The final five contestants then perform to a song that was written specifically for them. Angeria Paris VanMicheals lip-syncs to "Check My Track Record", Bosco lip-syncs to "Devil", Daya Betty lip-syncs to "Fighter", Lady Camden lip-syncs to "I Fell Down (I Got Up)", and Willow Pill lip-syncs to "I Hate People". After the performances, RuPaul tells the contestants that only two will be advancing to the final lip-sync of the season. It is announced that the final two contestants are Lady Camden and Willow Pill, meaning Angeria Paris VanMicheals, Bosco, and Daya Betty are eliminated from the competition. The fourteenth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' premiered on January 7, 2022. The reality competition series, broadcast on VH1 in the United States, showcases 14 new queens competing for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar". Casting calls for season 14 were opened in November 2020, and the cast was officially revealed by season 13 winner Symone on VH1 on December 2, 2021. The season premiere received 738,000 viewers, making it the most-watched premiere since Season 10. ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' is an American reality competition television series, the first in the Drag Race (franchise), ''Drag Race'' franchise, produced by World of Wonder (company), World of Wonder for Logo TV (season 1–8), WOW Presents Plus, VH1 (season 9–14) and, beginning with the fifteenth season, MTV. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag queen, drag superstar". RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. Flamingo Las Vegas
Flamingo Las Vegas (formerly the Flamingo Hilton) is a casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The Flamingo includes a casino and a 28-story hotel with 3,460 rooms. The resort was originally proposed by Billy Wilkerson, founder of ''The Hollywood Reporter'', who purchased the land in 1945. Early the following year, he partnered with a trio of mobsters to obtain financing. Among his partners was Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, who proceeded to take over the $1 million project, to Wilkerson's dismay. Construction costs rose under Siegel's management, with a final price of $6 million. The Flamingo's casino opened on December 26, 1946, followed by a three-story hotel on March 1, 1947.
