Governor Of Tlaxcala
The governor of Tlaxcala is the position representing the complete executive power of the government of the Mexico, Mexican state of Tlaxcala, per the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Tlaxcala. The governor is elected for a period of six years, and cannot be re-elected for any reason. The term of office begins on January 15 and ends on January 14, six years later. Elections are held 1 year prior to President of Mexico, presidential elections. To be elected, the candidate must be a natural-born citizen of Mexico, at least 30 years of age, and a resident of Tlaxcala for at least 5 years prior to the election. Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros
Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros (born 20 February 1962) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) who serves as the Governor of Tlaxcala. Formerly she served as a member of the Labor Party (PT) as a federal deputy in the LXIV Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Tlaxcala's third district; she had previously been a senator for Tlaxcala and mayor of the state capital, Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl. Political career Cuéllar was born in Tlaxcala, Tlaxcala, Mexico, on 20 February 1962. In 1991, Cuéllar joined the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). While a PRI member, she served as the president of the local chapter of the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF) in Tlaxcala City between 1992 and 1994; she also was a city councilor there from 2002 and 2005 and was elected the city's mayor in 2008. Alejo González
Alejandro de Vivar (1635–1660), better known as Mestizo Alejo, was a Chilean mestizo, who fought in the Arauco War. He was the son of the Mapuche cacique Curivilú and the Spanish Isabel de Vivar y Castro who was captured during a Mapuche raid. Isabel and Alejo were rescued five years later and rejoined the Spanish society. Alejo enlisted the Spanish army, but the system of castas prevented his promotion. As a result, he deserted from the Spanish army and joined the Mapuches, being appointed toqui. Instructed in Spanish military strategy, he posed a serious threat to his former masters, but he died in a crime of passion: after he had sex with a captured Spanish woman his two wives murdered him.
