Alejandro Armenta Mier
Alejandro Armenta Mier (born 9 July 1969) is a Mexican politician. He originally belonged to the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) but switched his allegiance to the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) in 2017. Since 14 December 2024, he is the governor of Puebla. Career Armenta Mier was born in Izúcar de Matamoros, Puebla, in 1969. He served as municipal president of Acatzingo from 1993 to 1995 and as a local deputy in the 55th session of the Congress of Puebla from 2002 to 2005. Armenta served as the state secretary of social development in the administration of Governor Mario Marín (2005–2011). In 2012 he was appointed the coordinator of Enrique Peña Nieto's presidential campaign in Puebla and, following Peña Nieto's victory in the 2012 general election, he served as the director of the National Population Register (Renapo). Rafael Moreno Valle
Rafael Moreno Valle (August 13, 1917 – February 13, 2016) was a Mexican military physician and politician. A member of PRI, he served as the Governor of Puebla from 1969 to 1974, as well as the Secretary of Health from 1964 to 1968 under President Gustavo Díaz Ordaz. He was also a founding member of the Sociedad Mexicana de Traumatología y Ortopedia. Moreno was the grandfather of Rafael Moreno Valle Rosas, who served as the governor of Puebla from 2011 to 2018. Biography Moreno Valle was born in the city of Atlixco, Puebla, on August 13, 1917. He completed his early schooling in Atlixco. Mario Mellado García (died October 2014) was a Mexican lawyer, politician and judge. Mellado served as the acting Governor of Puebla from March 23, 1972, until April 14, 1972, following the resignation of Governor Rafael Moreno Valle. Mellado, a lawyer and judge, served as the Secretary General of the Government of Puebla from 1969 to 1972. Guillermo Jiménez Morales (born 2 December 1933) is a Mexican lawyer and politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served as governor of Puebla from 1981 to 1987 and was his country's ambassador to the Holy See between 1995 and 1998. Political career Guillermo Jiménez Morales was born in Huauchinango in the Sierra Norte of Puebla on 2 December 1933. His parents were Alberto Jiménez Valderrábano – elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1952 and sometime mayor of Huauchinango – and Estela Morales Cruz. Mariano Piña Olaya (born 29 March 1933) is a Mexican politician who served as the governor of Puebla from 1987 to 1993. Career Piña Olaya was born Champusco, Puebla, in 1933. Manuel Bartlett Díaz (born 23 February 1936) is a Mexican politician, former director of the public energy company CFE, and former Secretary of the Interior. Bartlett was elected to the Senate of the Republic for the 2000–2006 term, where he became known as one of the most staunch defenders of state ownership of electric utilities. On May 27, 2006, in view of the low possibility of Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) candidate Roberto Madrazo winning the Presidency, Bartlett declared that he would vote for Andrés Manuel López Obrador, then candidate for the Party of the Democratic Revolution, to avoid a right-wing victory.
