According to the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Chihuahua, Executive Power in that Mexican state resides with a single individual, the Constitutional Governor of the Free and Sovereign State of Chihuahua, who is chosen for a period of six years and cannot for any reason be re-elected. The term of governor begins on October 4 of the year of the election and finishes on October 3 after six years have elapsed. Gubernatorial elections are held two years prior to presidential elections. María Eugenia Campos Galván
María Eugenia Campos Galván (born 11 September 1975), commonly known as Maru Campos, is a Mexican politician from the National Action Party (PAN) who serves as the current Governor of Chihuahua. From 2006 to 2009, she served as a deputy of the LX Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing Chihuahua. In 2016 she was elected the first female municipal president of Chihuahua, being re-elected in 2018 for a second term. José Joaquin del Calvo Lopez (January 16, 1798 in Cuba – February 28, 1838 in Chihuahua, Mexico) was a Mexican soldier. Biography He was born in Havana, Cuba, on January 16, 1798 being his parents Thomas and Clara López Calvo. He joined the Spanish military in 1812 and when the Independence of Mexico, arrived in 1818 on the orders of the Viceroy Juan Ruiz de Apodaca, with the rank of second lieutenant. He fought insurgents in Veracruz and Michoacan, until in 1821 decides to join the independence cause, and entered the City of Mexico with Trigarante Army on September 27, 1821. Luis Zuloaga (December 31, 1922 – May 23, 2013) was a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher. Born in Valencia, Carabobo, Zuloaga was a left-handed curveball specialist. Mariano Martínez de Lejarza was acting Governor of the territory of Santa Fe de Nuevo México (in present-day New Mexico) from 1844 to 1845. Career Martínez was a native of the State of Mexico.
